The Real BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

I feel like we are all in constant search for the BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe. But we all have different criteria as to what makes them the best.
To me, the ultimate chocolate chip cookie needs to be soft with crispy edges. Brown bottom but not over baked. Flat and round. And the perfect ratio of chocolate chips.
Let me tell you that this recipe is it.
This is not your healthy recipe. But from time to time, we all need it.
Thank you to my cousin for all the back and forth we had about every single ingredient on that list!

2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/4 cup flour
1 package osem vanilla pudding
1 cup chocolate chip
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven 350.
In a mixer, using the paddle attachment, cream together margarine, sugars and vanilla. Add one egg at a time.
Add all dry ingredients besides for chocolate chips. Add cc once dough is formed.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Scoop out 1-2 tbsp of dough for each cookie. Leave about 2 inches between each cookie for spreading.
Place only one baking sheet in the oven at a time. After 5 min of baking (do not open the oven), flip baking sheet so that the cookies at the front go to the back of the oven, and tap down the baking sheet on the oven rack to help flatten the cookies. Bake for an additional 5-6 minutes.
Wait a few minutes before transferring cookies to a cooling rack, to give them some time to bind.
