Any of you want to use up chametz before pessach and empty your precious freezer space?
Here is a super cute dessert to use up puff pastry dough and the ends of your spreads. Think chocolate, lotus, jam from your purim hamentashen! Anything goes!
Puff pastry squares or regular
Any spread of your choice
1 egg
Sugar, to sprinkle
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a thick layer of puff pastry, cut about 10 cm squares or use premade squares. Make slits in the middle of each side, but not all the way to the middle. Place 1 tbsp of any spread of your choice in the middle. Fold corners on spread. Pinch each piece to form petals (refer to video). Place on parchment paper. Repeat.
Brush egg on each flower then sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden.
