Oven Method Moroccan Salade Cuite

The most popular moroccan cooked salad: Salade cuite.

But without all the mess of splatters all over your kitchen and pots to wash.

This is the method for salade cuite in the oven. You will never go back after trying it out!

  • 8 cans diced tomatoes (I like Aylmer)

  • 1 jar (2L) roasted peppers

  • 10-12 garlic cloves

  • 1 cup oil

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp paprika



DIRECTIONS:


  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

  2. Drain tomato cans and pour in a full size aluminum pan. Try to remove as much liquid as possible.

  3. Wash roasted peppers very well under running water. Slice and add to tomatoes.

  4. Mince garlic and add to the pan, along with all other ingredients.

  5. Place in the oven for 6-8 hours. Mix every 20-30 minutes. Half way, mash everything using a manual potato masher. It is ready when there's no more moisture and it looks like a jam.
