Moroccan stewed chickpeas

Moroccan stewed chickpeas are easiest and such a good accompaniment to moroccan fish of friday night.


Try making them!



chickpeas braised in sauce


  • 1 can chickpeas (540 ml)

  • 1/2 lemon

  • 1/2 tsp marak off (osem)

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup chopped cilantro

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste



DIRECTIONS:


In a small saucepan, add all ingredients. Mix everything. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the sauce thickens and the chickpeas soften.
