Moroccan olives are amazing alongside anything literally. They can be served as a side dish, a cooked salad or even paired with hot Challah.
They are a classic in every moroccan home. We can never get enough of them at our Shabbat table!
400g olives
4 garlic cloves
1/4 cup preserved lemon liquid (or 1/4 of a preserved lemon, diced)
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 cup cilantro, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups water
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a pot.
Bring mixture to a boil then immediately reduce to a simmer.
Simmer for 1.5 hour.
