Bite Size Shnitsel

Guila Sandroussy

Everyone loves a good shnitsel hack!

These minis can literally be done in minutes! No need to dirty everything to get the same exact results. 2 bowls and 1 pan, that’s all!

You’ve got yourself a dinner so quickly, with minimal effort, that everyone will love!

Child dipped shnitsel in ketchup

  • 6 breasts

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 4 eggs, beaten and lightly salted

  • 3 cups panko (optional: sesame seeds)

  • Oil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start by cutting your chicken breast in small finger size and placing them in a bowl. You can decide how big or small you like them.

  2. Add flour to bowl and mix. Only after making sure the breast is well coated in flour, add your beaten eggs to the chicken and mix.

  3. Prepare another bowl with panko. Simultaneously, get a large pan filled with 1.5 inches of oil. The size of your pan will depend on how many Shnitsel you have to fry. Heat up that oil at a medium high heat.

  4. Carefully transfer your egged breast pieces to the panko bowl, while trying to drain as much egg as possible. Work in batches of how much can fit in your pan at once.

  5. Once oil reaches a hot temperature, start frying shnitsel. Once done, place on paper towel.

Don’t forget to work quick. As your shnitsel is frying, get the next batch dipped in panko so they will be ready to fry as soon as the previous batch is fried.
