I was challenged by @jews_of_ny to take part in the @ujafedny #MatzahChallenge. I am so honored to be part of this initiative that happens every year. Every time a post is made during Passover, UJA will receive an $18 donation that will go towards helping Israel, thanks to a generous donor.
I decided to make Matsah Lasagna because it’s a yearly classic and such an easy meal to put together!
DIRECTIONS:
Wet your Matsah: Drench about 1/2 pack of matsah in water for a few minutes. Remove and place in clean kitchen towel.
Make your sauce: Mix 24 oz of marinara with 3/4 cup of whole milk.
Layer your lasagna: Start with a sauce base. Then layer matsa, sauce and cheese. Repeat until you reach the top. Cover tightly and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes. You can finish off by broiling the top for 2-3 minutes.
