Homemade Butter

Yes, you can make your own butter and buttermilk using only heavy cream and a stand mixer.


I am so excited to share how just using heavy cream, you can make yourself the freshest butter at home!


Definitely not a necessity but just so gratifying to see the whole process coming along.


If you do make this, keep in mind that it only stays good for a few days in the fridge. So use asap. Also, the better the quality of the heavy cream, the better your butter will taste.

To make:


Blend heavy cream at high speed. Stop a few times to scrape down the sides. When liquid starts to form, lower speed. It will be ready when the butter separates from the buttermilk. Using your hands, separate butter from buttermilk and store separately in airtight container.
