You won’t believe that you can make this so quick. All in one bowl, no shaping necessary. Just scoop and fry!
3 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
3 eggs
1/3 cup + 2 tbsp flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp spice blend (I use TJs green goddess)
Frying Oil
Marinara sauce, for dipping
DIRECTIONS:
Heat 2 inches of oil in a pot or pan.
Combine mozzarella, parmesan, eggs, flour, baking powder and spice blend. Mix until well combined.
Check if your oil reached the right temperature either by putting a wooden spatula in (bubbles forming around it means that the oil is hot), or with a thermometer. It should be around 350F.
Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out mixture directly into the hot oil. Don’t overcrowd your pan. Move them around often since they tend to stick to each other. Once golden, remove and place on a wire rack to cool.
Dip in hot marinara sauce!
