  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 1 cup flour

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Batter:

  • 1 1/4 cup flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)

  • oil, for frying

  • Powdered sugar, to sprinkle

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cream margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla at low speed in a mixer, using the paddle attachement.

  3. Add flour. When dough forms, add chocolate chips.

  4. Form about 1 inch balls and place on parchment paper. Freeze for about 30 minutes.

  5. Prepare your frying batter: mix all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add oil and while whisking, gradually add almond milk.

  6. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a pot at 325-350 F. Dip cookie dough balls in batter and coat all around. Fry on one side and flip when brown.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and treat yourself!

Enjoy,
