Dairy Spinach Quiche

Guila Sandroussy

This is one of my oldest recipes. One of the first things I learnt to make, and have been making it the same way ever since.

Spinach rocks every single dish that I add it to. It has a special power to absorb any flavor profile you give it. One of my favorite vegetables!

easy spinach quiche

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 500g frozen spinach

  • 2 frozen pie shells

  • 7 eggs

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup feta cheese

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Shredded cheese, to top

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start by preheating oven to 350 F.

  2. Heat a pan to medium high heat. Add oil. Fry onion until translucent.

  3. Add frozen spinach and cook down until no more water remains. Let it fully cool.

  4. Poke a few hole in your pie shells using a fork. Par-bake for 10 minutes.

  5. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, heavy cream, feta, salt, garlic and pepper. Mix until combine. Mix in the cooled spinach mix.

  6. Pour in your par-baked pie shells. Sprinkle some shredded cheese on top. Bake for 45-55 minutes, until the middle of your quiche is fully set.
