What’s better than sharing my favorite hobby with one of my favorite person!
When homework is about sharing a recipe, i’m all for it! In honor of Israel’s 75th birthday, my son had to share an israeli food recipe. We chose the master sauce/dip/condiment of all thing israel!
3/4 cup tahini
1/8 cup cup lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
About 3/4 cup ice water (water with ice)
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender, combine all ingredients besides for the water and pulse. Slowly add in water, little at a time. Keep opening and scraping the sides then pulse and add more water. Remember that you can always add more water but cannot remove, so go slow. Do not add all the water if you feel like you’ve added enough. Your tchina should be creamy enough to spread, not liquidy. Transfer to a dish and refrigerate.
Bonus tip: To clean your blender super easily, blend it at high speed with water and soap. The bender does the hard work for you!
