Classic Coleslaw

Guila Sandroussy

One of the most basic salad that serves almost as a condiment on so many sandwiches and that is a great addition to your shabbat table!

  • 1 head white cabbage

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 1.5 cups mayo (homemade is better)

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp pink salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper



DIRECTIONS:


  1. Start by cutting and washing your cabbage. The method I use is shown in the video.

    Seasoning your cabbage before will get it to soften and have more of a slaw consistency.

  2. Add all seasonings and mix. Let it sit so that juices start developing and the cabbage can soften.
