Caramelized Chestnuts

A side dish that pairs amazing with almost any piece of meat!


It’s festive, requires very little ingredients and looks beautiful on a holiday table.

  • 3 tbsp oil

  • 6 onions, sliced in half moons

  • 6 packs roasted chestnuts (600g in total)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp thyme



DIRECTIONS:


  1. Heat a large pan at medium heat. Add oil. Add your onion slices and saute, mixing often using a wooden spatula, until a golden color forms.

  2. Add chestnuts and spices and saute on a low flame until onions become softer and more golden in color, and chestnuts caramelize.

  3. Serve alongside a meat of choice.
