BBQ Chicken Burger

Nop, Summer is not over just yet.


You can still sneak a few Sunday BBQs. And if you want to take it up a notch, make these chicken burgers!


They are juicy, fresh, flavorful. All you need to fill your burger buns!

(Yields 7 burgers)



  • 1 package minced white chicken (about 1.3lbs)

  • 1 shallot

  • 5-6 garlic cloves

  • 1/2 cup cilantro, packed

  • 2/3 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp sumac

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 egg



DIRECTIONS:


  1. Heat your BBQ at medium high heat. I like to brush half an onion on the grates to clean them before I place my food.

  2. Process your cilantro, shallot and garlic until fine.

  3. To a mixing bowl, add all your ingredients. Mix until combined.

  4. Oil a baking sheet as well as your hands. Form large patties.

  5. Spray oil on top of your burgers.

  6. Place burgers on grill and close it. Let them cook for 5 minutes. Flip. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

  7. Remove and stuff in your burger bun!
